KFC-Taco Bell combo opens in Kodiak

KODIAK - Residents of Kodiak are standing in line for popcorn chicken and double-decker tacos, courtesy of two new fast food options in town.

Local entrepreneur Dan Rohrer has opened a combination Taco Bell and KFC, giving islanders the chance to think outside the bun as they enjoy chicken proclaimed to be finger lickin' good.

The grand opening was Monday and customers were lined up out the door well before the lunch crowd hit.

Customer Jasmine Small says she was willing to wait in the crowded building on opening day so she could buy items from both menus for her children.

Rohrer is a veteran of fast food in Kodiak. His company owns both Subway restaurants in the community.
