Hard sell ahead

Posted: Monday, August 27, 2001

I am curious as to how Juneau is going to win back any support from its Southeast neighbors.

While the rest of Southeast, particularly lower Southeast, has been undergoing economic disaster since 1996, Juneau has buried its head in the muskeg. It seems that Juneau is in a world all of its own, out of touch with the rest of us and no support for our area when we needed it. There is Southeast and then there is Juneau.

It's going to be a hard sell here and in other parts of Southeast to drum up any support or empathy for what is headed your way with the capital move.
