I can't imagine what people at the Empire were thinking when the Kubley photo of the bloody brown bear was published in the paper last Sunday.

Is there really a sense that such a picture is appropriate? Or were you trying to create a backlash from people who would without question be repulsed by such an image. As a hunter myself, I can understand how responsible hunting is so easily tarnished by such a callous display of carnage.
There is no need to say more. Wildlife - and the people of Juneau - deserve better.
