FAIRBANKS - The body of a man was found Sunday evening in the Tanana River, Alaska State Troopers said.
Troopers said the body was found by recreational boaters west of Fairbanks. Troopers retrieved the body, which is being sent to the state medical examiner for identification.
Sgt. Rick Roberts said troopers had difficulty telling how long the man, who was Caucasian, had been in the water.
According to troopers, there were no apparent signs of foul play.
