JUNEAU - Tyler Hennon was at Augustus Brown Swimming Pool Tuesday in his attempts at a full Ironman triathlon.

According to Scott Griffith, Glacier Swim Club head coach, Hennon completed 2.4 miles swimming, followed by a 112-mile bike ride and a 26.2-mile marathon run, on the Frank Maier Marathon course on Douglas.

"(This is) all on his own, this is an amazing feat," Griffith said. "For those of you who do not know Tyler, he is a former GSC swimmer, who will be a senior at Oregon next year. He and his family grew up in Juneau. If you start to complain about your day, imagine what he is doing! Get out there and give him some support!"
