Bowling without second-hand smoke

I agree with Darell Braman's assertion in Monday's Juneau Empire that, "If someone wants to harm themselves by smoking, that's their God-given right."

Sound off on the important issues at

A couple of years ago, my wife and I wanted to go bowling in Juneau. As soon as we opened the door, our air was filled with cigarette smoke. We promptly shut the door and decided to go ice skating instead. Shouldn't we, and other nonsmokers, have the "God-given" right to go bowling without endangering our health?

Although we currently reside in the Lower 48, my wife and I look forward to our next trip to Juneau. Who knows, we may even go bowling.
