ANCHORAGE - One of Alaska's busiest rural courts is about to make its documents available online.
The change will make it easier for people seeking documents from the state court system in Bethel, as well as four regional villages.
As of Oct. 6, the offices will put public files online using Courtview, an electronic case management system.
Courtview includes access to dockets, case summaries, dispositions and schedules. It provides information on civil and criminal cases, and traffic offenses.
The Palmer court was the first to use the system six years ago. Now, 18 courts use it. Twelve rural communities like Glennallen and Galena have been added since last winter.
