Former Juneau resident Lori Konoske died Aug. 22, 2010 in Madison, Wis.
She was born Jan. 3, 1968 in Savanna, Ill. She graduated from Culver-Stockton College, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in business administration. Lori was active in the Sigma Kappa sorority. Her occupation was in banking.
Lori was very active in the Girl Scouts; this, along with family camping trips, spurred her passion for the outdoors.
She married Matthew Konoske on Oct. 28, 1995 and they resided in Sitka with their beloved labs, Gunner and Coogan. Lori enjoyed her life in Alaska and the strong friendships she made over the years.
Lori is survived by her husband, Matt Konoske, of Sitka; her parents Nancy and Lloyd Freeman; her sister and niece Vicki and Madison Stauffer.
A memorial service was held Aug. 27 in Mt. Carroll, Ill.
