Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• A boy, 17, was arrested for shoplifting at 2:30 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek. He was lodged at the Johnson Youth Center.

• A man reported at 3:20 p.m. Thursday from Mendenhall Mall Road the theft of a black Huffy bike worth about $100.

Animal encounters:

• Bears were reported Thursday at 7:30 a.m. near Ptarmigan Street, 11 a.m. near Glacier Highway, 2:15 p.m. near Glacier Highway, 5:45 p.m. near Glacier Highway, 7:45 p.m. near Glendale Street, 8 p.m. near Taku Boulevard, 9 p.m. near Thunder Mountain Road, 9:30 p.m. near Main Street, 9:45 p.m. downtown, 10 p.m. near Thunder Mountain Road, 10:20 p.m. near Gastineau Avenue, 10:40 p.m. near Glacier Avenue, 10:45 p.m. near Thunder Mountain Road, and 11:20 p.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road, where a bear had damaged property.


• A man, 23, was cited at 6:15 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway for driving with a suspended license. He was released.

• A man, 19, was arrested at 7 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway on two outstanding trooper warrants for failing to appear in court. He was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• A man, 19, was cited at 1:20 a.m. today near Highland Drive for driving with a revoked license. He was released.
