GOP chairman should resign for non-support

Letter to the editor

Randy Ruedrich cannot seem to find it within himself to put away his prejudice against Sarah Palin. He refuses to openly and without qualification support the overwhelming winner of the primary election for Republican Party candidate for governor.

Sound off on the important issues at

Sarah Palin should have been honored by Ruedrich, not demeaned.

The buck for that kind of maudlin partisanship stops at the office of the party chairman. Randy Ruedrich is the party chairman. Ruedrich actively worked against Sarah's campaign, and Sarah won.

In books, Ruedrich would fall on his sword and his career would end with honor.

Well, Sarah's victory was that sword, and now Randy needs to fall on the proverbial sword by resigning to save the party and Sarah any more grief. Therefore, the honorable thing for him to do is to put the party first and to resign.

There is no excuse for the conduct of the party leadership against Sarah. None.

Now is the time to close ranks within the Republican Party and get on with winning this election.

Palin's campaign was simply clean, honest and open. Just like I believe her administration is going to be.
