Are we all equal in health care debate?

Posted: Sunday, August 30, 2009

In the debate over health care, Medicare and retirement benefits, there seems to be a simple solution that few, especially elected representatives, seem unready to accept.

That solution would be based on a segment of our United States' heritage that "All men (of course including women and children) are created equal."

The simple solution is to extend to all legal citizens the exact same health care and retirement benefits that our elected members of Congress and Senate have voted to give themselves.

They could just extend those benefits to all legal citizens. Fair is fair isn't it? Are we all equal or are some people more equal than others?
