Recent births at Bartlett Regional Hospital:

• On Aug. 17, 2009, a daughter, Emily Anne Louise McPhetres, weighing 7 pounds, 9 ounces, to Shannon Louise and Stephen Samuel McPhetres, of Haines.

• On Aug. 18, 2009, a daughter, Amelia Brok Geary, weighing 7 pounds, 13 ounces, to Sarah Elizabeth and Nathaniel Keith Geary, of Juneau.

• On Aug. 21, 2009, a son, Theodore Edward Volk, weighing 7 pounds, 14 ounces, to Raquel Sonnea Littrell, of Petersburg.

• On Aug. 23, 2009, a son, Giovanni Alejandro Rojo, weighing 7 pounds, to Sonya Yvette Lopez and Tirso D. Rojo, of Petersburg.

Court records show the following legal actions among those taken recently in Juneau Superior and District courts.


• Veronica L. Ritter, 19, was found guilty of driving while intoxicated, stemming from a June 5, 2009, incident in which her blood-alcohol content was measured at .200 percent. Magistrate John W. Sivertsen Jr. imposed 46 days in jail with 40 days suspended, fined Ritter $3,000 with $1,500 suspended, revoked her license for 90 days and put her on probation for two years.
