Thanks for helping the Early Learning Fair

Posted: Sunday, August 30, 2009

The Juneau Partnership for Families and Children wishes to thank the following individuals and organizations whose support helped make the first annual Early Learning Fair such a resounding success. We had 150 children and their families attend the Fair.

The staff at Gastineau School, especially Angie Lunda, the principal, the custodial staff, all the Kindergarten teachers and the RALLY teachers and students who graciously allowed us the use of there facilities and equipment. SEARHC offered some financial assistance to help provide door prizes for every child, resources and materials for families, and support for volunteer staff.

We also wish to thank all the exhibitors involved: WIC, SEARHC Dental, SEARHC Health Promotions, Kids on the Move, Stone Soup Group, Juneau FASD Clinic, Tlingit and Haida Head Start, SERRC-The Learning Connection programs at Cedar Park and Greuning Park, AEYC, JUMPP, Cooperative Extension Service, AWARE Inc, REACH Infant Learning Program, Juneau Family Health and Birth Center, Juneau School District, the Juneau Montessori School, the Juneau Community Charter School, the Juneau Public Health Center, the Juneau Vaccine Coalition, the Mendenhall Flying Lions Club, SESA-Consultation and Education for Early Hearing, and the University of Alaska Southeast Graduate Programs. Special thanks go to the young volunteers who donated their time and energy.
