Former Juneau resident Diane Simonson, of Mesa, Ariz., died with her loved ones by her side on Aug. 27, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. She was 54.
Born June 3, 1955, in Everett, Wash., she graduated from Cusick High School.
Her family said she was a loving wife, mother and nana and will be remembered forever and missed greatly by all.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Mark Simonson; daughter, Meredith Simonson; son, Josh Simonson and wife, Christy; grandchildren, Landon and Kenzie Simonson; and many other loving friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Anita Olson; father, Wes Olson; and sister, Cookie Emery.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley St., Sunset Chapel, in Spokane, Wash. Family and friends are invited to attend the services.
