ANCHORAGE - Anchorage Superior Court Judge Patrick McKay has been charged with drunk driving.
The Anchorage Daily News reports that an Anchorage police officer pulled over McKay's Toyota Camry Thursday evening for a traffic infraction on the outbound Glenn Highway.
Lt. Dave Parker said the officer found the 56-year-old judge to be under the influence. The officer arrested McKay and took him to the Anchorage Jail where he was later released on $500 bail.
McKay's arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 14. McKay was convicted and served three days in jail for drunk driving in 1988.
McKay was appointed to the superior court in 2005 by Gov. Frank Murkowski.
