Driving while intoxicated:

* Ronald Ward, 31, was arrested for drunken driving at 1:15 a.m. today near Indian Street. He was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and the car was released to a licensed driver.


* A man, 39, was arrested at 7:26 p.m. Thursday in the valley for domestic violence assault. He was lodged at state prison.


* A girl reported at 9:59 p.m. Thursday that a personal CD player with headphones, 50 CDs and $15 in cash were stolen from her unlocked car parked near the high school. Total estimated value is $350.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

* Police responded at 8:50 a.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway to a report of a smashed mail box, with damage estimated at $20. The police said there are no suspects and no leads in the case.

Underage drinking:

* Police cited a girl, 15, and a boy, 17, at 3:28 a.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway for underage drinking. They were released to family members.

Animal encounters:

* Bears were reported Thursday at 7:06 a.m. near El Camino Street, 7:12 a.m. near Churchill Way, 9:29 a.m. near Blueberry Hill Drive, 9:59 a.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road, 11:47 a.m. near North Loop Way, 12:04 p.m. near Glendale Street, 12:05 p.m. near Ferndale Street, 1:12 p.m. near Riverside Drive and Tournure Street, 4:33 p.m. near Lemon Creek Manor, 5:39 p.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road, 6:59 p.m. near Lena Loop Road, 7:08 p.m. near Glacier Highway, and 8:03 p.m. near Glacier Highway.

* Bears were reported today at 6 a.m. near Otter Way and 6:50 a.m. near Pinedale Street and Cloverdale Street.


* A man, 29, was arrested at 12:10 a.m. today near South Franklin Street for being intoxicated on a licensed property. He was taken to state prison.
