Address assaults on Natives

I find it interesting that nothing was said about the beatings that happened to our local Natives this weekend, and you'd think that for public safety's sake that the police, newspapers and radio would put something out regarding a group of people driving in a white van assaulting Natives (Are you going to wait until someone gets shot or dies?). Why hasn't anyone made a public announcement regarding these assaults? I know of three Natives who were assaulted and nothing was said or done about this.

Are we as Natives going to have to take justice into our own hands or is Juneau Police Department going to do their job?
