Public library system begins new hours

JUNEAU - Juneau Public Libraries will begin new hours next week.

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 8, all branches will close at 8 p.m. on weekdays except the Douglas Branch, which will continue to close at 5 p.m. on Thursdays.

The Douglas branch will open at 2 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays to accommodate the early release of Gastineau Elementary students.

The hours for Fridays and weekend days remain unchanged at all branches.
