2000 Southeast Volleyball Jamboree: First match begins at 4 p.m.; last match at 7:20 p.m. at Dzanti'i Heeni Middle School gym. Resumes Saturday at 9 a.m. with final matche beginning at 6 p.m. Includes high school teams from Ketchikan, Mt. Edgecumbe, Sitka Colony and Juneau-Douglas. Colony and Juneau meet Friday at 7:20 p.m. and Saturday at 6 p.m.

Juneau Sailing Club's 2000 Rum Cup Challenge, 4th round: Race from Juneau to Taku Harbor on Saturday, a lay-day on Sunday with dock games and barbecues and Taku Harbor back to Juneau on Monday. All sailboats invited (you do not have to be a member of Juneau Sailing Club to participate and previous racing experience not necessary).
