Have you ever read a really good novel and wanted to read another just like it? Have you ever wanted to find just the right mystery or science fiction novel or find books at your child's reading level? If so, there is a program that will help.
The Juneau Public Libraries subscribe to NoveList, a fun and easy-to-use program from Ebsco. NoveList will answer those questions and many more to help you to find exactly the right book to read next, to pick books for your book club, or to guide your childrens' reading.
NoveList offers subject access to more than 96,000 fiction titles for all ages. The program also contains reviews, summaries, or annotations for more than 58,000 of these titles.
Use NoveList to find more books by a favorite author or find other authors who write similar books. You can also match a favorite title to others like it. Describe the plot of an ideal novel by genre, location, time period, characters, themes or subjects. Browse lists of fiction that match subject words or search for books in a series or search by reading level.
Explore fiction by using the thousands of subject and theme oriented booklists in NoveList. The program also contains lists of books from many major book awards and books discussion guides and book talks. You can build and save your own reading lists as you explore NoveList and return to them whenever you want.
NoveList is available at every catalog terminal in the Juneau Public Libraries. You can also access NoveList from home on the Library's Web site (www.juneau.org/library) using your library card number. If you need assistance, please call the library.
