Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Driving while Intoxicated:
Malin Babcock, 62, was arrested at 6:50 p.m. Friday near Tee Harbor for drunken driving. Babcock was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Joe Davis, 22, was arrested at 3 a.m. Saturday near Davis Avenue for drunken driving. He was lodged at the state prison.
Assaults:
A woman, 34, was arrested at 1 a.m. Saturday in the Mendenhall Valley for domestic violence assault. She was lodged at the state prison.
Thefts:
A boy, 15, was arrested for shoplifting at 12:30 p.m. Friday near Willoughby Avenue. He was released to an adult.
A woman reported at 4:15 p.m. Friday from mile 27 Glacier Highway that prescription sunglasses and a camera had been stolen from a locked vehicle at a trailhead.
A man reported at 6:45 a.m. Saturday from Mendenhall Campground that a stove and other items had been stolen.
Vandalism and criminal mischief:
At 8:30 a.m. Friday police received a report from Main Street of benches having been scratched.
At 4:50 p.m. Friday from Industrial Boulevard a man reported that the rear seats of three vehicles had been damaged.
Animal encounters:
Bears were reported Friday at 2 p.m. on a porch near Douglas Highway, at 4:30 p.m. getting into garbage near Sunny Drive, at 9:30 p.m. near a playground on Kanat'a Street, and at 10:30 p.m. on a porch near Hayes Way.
Bears were reported Saturday at 1 a.m. getting into garbage near Kanat'a Street and at 4:30 a.m. near Lemon Creek, where the animal damaged a shed.
Other:
A man, 24, was arrested at 11:15 p.m. Friday near Front Street on a troopers warrant for misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief. He was lodged at the state prison.
A woman, 26, was arrested at 3 a.m. Saturday near South Franklin Street on a police warrant for failure to appear at court. She was lodged at the state prison.
