Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Domestic dispute:
Troopers arrested a man, 37, on a charge of domestic-violence assault after receiving a report of an incident at 7:50 p.m. Sunday. They reported that the man allegedly hit his girlfriend in the head with a telephone, causing a wound that required treatment at the local clinic. Troopers lodged the man at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Police arrested a man, 23, of Eagle River, on a charge of domestic violence assault at 11:39 p.m. Monday near Mendenhall Mall Road. They lodged him at the state prison.
Police arrested a man, 32, on a charge of domestic-violence assault at 6:02 a.m. Tuesday near North Douglas Highway. They lodged him at the state prison.
Assault:
Police arrested a man, 57, on charges of assault and harassment after responding to a report of a fight at 5:51 p.m. Monday near South Franklin Street. They lodged him at the state prison.
Theft:
Police cited a boy, 14, on a shoplifting charge at 2:33 p.m. Monday near West Willoughby Avenue.
A digital camera, valued at $470, a battery charger, valued at $30, and $40 worth of cigars were reported stolen at 3:01 p.m. near Glacier Avenue.
A gray cellular telephone was reported stolen at 4:41 p.m. Monday near Glacier Highway.
Vehicle accidents:
A man, 43, was struck by a slow-moving vehicle at 5:05 p.m. Monday near Vintage Boulevard in the Valley. He was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital in a private vehicle with minor injuries. The vehicle was driven by a man, 49.
Hit and run:
At 12:48 p.m. Monday, a woman reported her 2003 Mazda was struck by a Nissan truck while parked near North Franklin Street.
At 9:12 a.m. Tuesday, a woman reported her 1991 Subaru Legacy had been struck by an unknown vehicle, somewhere in Juneau.
Other:
Police cited a man, 44, on a charge of furnishing tobacco to minors at 12:38 p.m. Monday near West Ninth Street.
Animal encounters:
Police received a report of bears at 7:48 p.m. Monday near Cinema Drive and at 8:37 p.m. Monday near Stephen Richards Memorial Drive.
Crime Line
Police responded to an alarm at 3:45 a.m. July 19 at Duck Creek Market, 9951 Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. They found the front glass door had been shattered. The owner was unable to determine if anything was taken.
At 3:53 a.m. Friday and 2:40 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to alarms at the same store. In those cases, the owner described the incidents as "grab and dash" burglaries but did not say what was stolen. In each of the three incidents, property loss was estimated at $500.
