JUNEAU - Police officers and bystanders lifted a 1992 Jeep early Saturday morning to free a woman whose hand was trapped when the vehicle rolled in the 300 block of Sixth Street.
The 29-year-old's name was not released. She was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment, police said.
The driver, John Maddox, 33, was arrested and charged with drunken driving and reckless endangerment.
The accident happened at about 3 a.m. Saturday. Police arrived to find the Jeep leaning on a residential building, its passenger side leaning over a two-foot sidewalk embankment.
Maddox was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
