ANCHORAGE - About 40 Alaska National Guardsmen have returned home after participating in a multinational training exercise in Mongolia.
The soldiers were from the Alaska Army National Guard's 38th Troop Command and the Alaska Air National Guard's 176th Medical Group.
They participated with about 250 members of the Mongolian Armed Forces and 300 soldiers from the U.S. and foreign militaries in the Khaan Quest exercise.
It included a command post and field training exercises, humanitarian civic assistance project, medical readiness training and a peace keeping operations seminar.
