Woman gets 5-year sentence in Anchorage

ANCHORAGE - A woman convicted of theft for stealing checks was sentenced Monday in Anchorage to five years in prison.

KTUU reports Wendy Remington and two men were accused of stealing checks from mail boxes, cars and homes, then writing bad checks in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley.

Remington was arrested after she was caught on video writing a bad check.
