Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

• Urban Anson Cleveland, 42, was arrested at 3:55 p.m. Saturday near Thane Road in the avalanche area for drunken driving. He also was charged with driving with a blood-alcohol level more than the legal limit of 0.08 percent. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held on $1,000 bail.

• Garrett Derr, 23, was arrested for drunken driving at 10:15 p.m. Saturday near Lee Smith Drive. He was lodged at the state prison.

• Katherine Torrence, 26, was arrested for drunken driving at 2:28 a.m. Sunday near West Willoughby Avenue. She also was charged with sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. She was lodged at the state prison.


• About 80 gallons of gasoline was reported stolen at 7:38 a.m. Saturday near Aurora Harbor. The gasoline, valued at $160, was stolen from a boat sometime between Aug. 4 and Aug. 29.

• A backpack was reported stolen from a vehicle at 7:51 a.m. Saturday near Riverwood Court.

• A radio and CDs were reported stolen from a vehicle at 10:33 a.m. Saturday near Stephen Richards Memorial Drive.

• A backpack containing items with a total value of $500 was reported stolen at 10:35 a.m. from a vehicle near Glacierwood Drive.

• A purse and a gym bag were reported stolen at 11:18 a.m. Saturday from a vehicle near Northland Street.

• A CD player, valued at $200, was reported stolen at 11:19 a.m. Saturday near Parkwood Drive.

• A speaker system was reported stolen at 12:46 p.m. Saturday from a vehicle near McGinnis Drive.

• About $500 worth of stereo equipment was reported stolen at 10:56 a.m. Sunday near Forest Grove.

• Police are investigating the theft of a 24-foot cabin cruiser, valued at $8,000. The boat was reported missing at 2:06 p.m. Monday from Tee Harbor. The boat was recovered later Monday at Auke Bay harbor, but police are looking into the matter.

Animal encounters:

• Bears were reported Saturday at 6:34 p.m. near Belardi Drive, 9:25 p.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road and Kodzoff Street, 10:37 p.m. near Columbia Boulevard and Tournure Street and 11:50 p.m. near Glacier Highway.

• Bears were reported Sunday at 12:16 a.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road, 8:39 p.m. near Glacier Highway, 9:51 a.m. near Thunder Mountain Road, 9:52 p.m. near Gold Street, 10:13 p.m. near Fifth Street and Franklin Street, 10:24 p.m. near Fourth Street and Seward Street, 10:27 p.m. near Seward Street, 10:27 p.m. near El Camino Street, 10:56 p.m. near Distin Avenue, 11:02 p.m. near Nowell Avenue and Cordova Street, 11:07 p.m. near Nowell Avenue and 11:13 p.m. near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek.

• Bears were reported Monday at 12:08 a.m. near West Ninth Street, 1:02 a.m. near Mountainwood Circle, 3:23 a.m. near Marsha Avenue, 8:23 p.m. near Tongass Boulevard, 9:07 p.m. near Mendenhall Mall Road and 9:30 p.m. near Egan Drive and the Douglas Bridge.
