ANB committee extends its application deadline

Due to the Aug. 15 fire that destroyed the Alaska Native Brotherhood's scholarship office, the ANB Scholarship Committee is extending the scholarship application period to Sept. 15.

The Alaska Native Brotherhood would like to commend the firefighters for their efforts in saving their mail. The scholarship deadline was Aug. 15 and all scholarship applications were in the office at the time of the fire. The scholarship committee has reviewed the applications that were saved, but cannot read some due to water damage. Therefore, the committee is asking all applicants to resubmit the following by Sept. 15:

• Enrollment or letter of acceptance.

• Transcript.

• Letter requesting consideration.

New applications should be mailed to ANB Scholarship Committee, PO Box 34096, Juneau, AK 99803-4096. For further information, contact Bradley Fluetsch at 321-2726, or Ethel Lund at 364-2810.
