It gets tiresome to hear the local Democratic politicians bemoan the lack of experience of Gov. Sarah Palin. Of course, she has been at the forefront of ethics reform, successfully lobbied for and signed the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act, pushed for and obtained an increase in taxes on the oil industry and returned $1,200 to each citizen who gets an Alaska Permanent Fund dividend.
She has been in the hot seat of administrative responsibility and oversight as Alaska's governor.
In contrast, Barack Obama has done little since being elected to the U.S. Senate, except campaign for president.
