JUNEAU - Sealaska Heritage Institute announced dates Tuesday for the next Celebration, one of the largest Native cultural events in the state.
Celebration 2010 is scheduled for June 3-5 in Juneau. SHI's biennial Juried Art Show and Competition will open on June 2.
Celebration 2010 will mark the 28th year of the event, which began in 1982 to celebrate the Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian cultures.
The event drew more than 6,000 people this June, including a record 2,300 dancers.
