EAGLECREST - Participants in this week's Saturday Wild hike, which kicks off at the Eaglecrest Lodge at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 4, will get a chance to taste, literally, the fruits of summer.
Mary Lou King, of the Juneau Audubon Society, will lead a berry walk for participants and teach on berry picking opportunities this time of year.
This is event is free and open to the public. Organizers are asking individuals to meet at the lodge, come dressed for the weather and bring a bucket for collecting berries.
