JUNEAU - A multi-day sailing race that routes competitors down to Taku Harbor and back to Juneau over the course of a weekend kicks off at 10:15 a.m., Saturday.
This race marks the final event of the season for the SouthEast Alaska Sailing club and the last chance for competitors to take aim at the 2010 SEAS Cup.
According to the SEAS website, the race begins near Douglas Harbor, continues south past Taku Inlet and Grand Island, and ultimately wraps up the first leg just before the entrance to Taku Harbor.
The return leg takes the fleet back to Juneau. Finishers will aim for an imaginary line adjacent to the Sheep Creek light in Gastineau Channel.
