Douglas Turnabout

As a north Douglas resident, I have benefited for years from the courtesy of Douglas folks during morning rush "hour." Each morning as traffic backed up on the bridge and north Douglas, the Douglas drivers would slow down and let us into the line, every other car. Recently I've tried to return the favor (in the new traffic circle) but it hasn't worked out very well. I've tried slowing down and waving Douglas cars in, but each time the Douglas cars have not jumped in. A couple times I've received an annoyed "What are you doing?" look and accompanying hand gestures.

I am writing to ask Douglas residents if they would like us north Douglas drivers to let them into the traffic circle when traffic is backed up? I would just go about my merry way following the current traffic laws, but I get these guilty pangs when whipping around the circle while Douglas drivers are waiting like I used to wait. Perhaps the Empire should do a poll on the question.
