ANCHORAGE - The second bear cub that was orphaned when its mother was shot and killed Aug. 19 in Anchorage was captured Sunday night.
The bear eluded state biologists for almost two weeks before it was caught and reunited with its sibling at the Alaska Zoo.
The cubs' mother was shot by biologists because it was suspected in two maulings.
A couple in a neighborhood bordering Chugach State Park caught the bear Sunday night. They saw the cub eating berries in their backyard and lured it into a dog run.
Zoo officials said the two cubs will likely stay together and be sent to a Midwest zoo.
