DELTA JUNCTION - A police standoff at the Buffalo Center Service fuel station in Delta Junction ended without injury Wednesday when troopers arrested a man accused of shooting out windows in the building.
A team of Alaska State troopers and police from Fairbanks arrived before noon by helicopter and surrounded the building. The gunman was taken into custody about 2 p.m.
During the standoff, the Richardson Highway was briefly closed, and nearby Delta High School and Delta Elementary School were put on lockdown.
