UAA police searching for smelly attacker

ANCHORAGE - Police at the University of Alaska Anchorage are trying to sniff out a man who attacked a student.

Police chief Dale Pittman said a woman was walking in the woods near campus Wednesday when she was choked from behind and punched by a man described as having a "strong body odor."

The victim, who was not identified, suffered some bruising around her neck and head. The motive remains unknown.
