Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Marco Garcia, 35, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Sunday near Egan Drive and Glacier Highway for drunken driving, driving with a revoked license and three counts of reckless endangerment. He was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. A male passenger, 19, was cited for underage drinking.


A woman, 34, was arrested for assault and resisting arrest after police responded to a report of domestic violence about 11:45 p.m. Saturday downtown.

A man, 25, was arrested about 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Douglas for domestic violence assault and driving with a suspended license. He was taken to state prison.

Thefts and Burglary:

A fishing pole and flashlight were reported taken from a locked cabin near the Treadwell Trail about 6 p.m. Sunday.

A spare tire, rim and jumper cables, worth $325, were reported stolen from a vehicle on Churchill Way about 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Underage drinking:

Police cited three boys, age 15, 16 and 17, and a girl age 15 for underage drinking about 12:15 a.m. Sunday on Willoughby Avenue.

Vehicle accidents:

A man, 80, was examined at Bartlett Regional Hospital and released after he was struck by a van driven by a man, 47, at the Juneau Airport parking lot about 4 a.m. Monday.

A 2000 Ford Windstar driven by a man, 72, struck Valley Restaurant about 10:30 p.m. Monday when his foot slipped on the gas pedal. The building had $10,000 damage, and the vehicle had $400 damage.

A Juneau man, 41, was driving a vehicle that crashed Saturday on South Tongass Avenue in Ketchikan, troopers reported. Esquibel and two passengers were treated for minor injuries at Ketchikan General Hospital, troopers said.

Animal encounters:

Police received 26 reports of bears between 8 a.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. today.


A woman, 22, was arrested about 3 a.m. Sunday on Egan Drive downtown for driving with a revoked license. She was released at the scene.

A woman, 22, was arrested about 6:15 a.m. Sunday on Churchill Way on a Sitka police warrant for failing to appear at a court hearing.

A woman, 51, was arrested about 4:15 p.m. Monday on South Franklin Street for criminal mischief and two counts of violating conditions of release. She was taken to state prison.

A man, 49, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Monday at the Auke Bay ferry terminal for criminal mischief. He is accused of causing $3,000 damage to a vehicle.

A Juneau woman, 44, was picked up by a trooper-chartered helicopter after she used a cell phone to report herself lost on Yankee Basin Trail about 3:30 p.m. Saturday. She was not injured, troopers said.

Alcohol-related calls: 7.
