Recent births at Bartlett Regional Hospital:

• On Aug. 24, 2003, a daughter, Mackenzie Michelle Gray, weighing 8 pounds 12 ounces, to Michelle Colleen Gray and Douglas Walter Gray of Juneau.

• On Aug. 25, 2003, a daughter, Maddy Lou Collins, weighing 8 pounds 14 ounces, to Amy Suzanne Collins and Eric Christopher Collins of Juneau.

• On Aug. 30, 2003, a daughter, Madalyn Elizabeth Cadiente, weighing 7 pounds 9 ounces, to Trisha Marie Dennis of Juneau.

• On Aug. 31, 2003, a daughter, Adrianna Hope Eyler, weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces, to Jessica Caryn Eyler and Jacob Tyler Abbott of Juneau.

Court records show the following legal actions among those taken recently in Juneau Superior and District Courts and Hoonah District Court:

Indictments:

• George W. Shean, 53, was indicted by a grand jury on a felony charge of first-degree sexual assault, stemming from a July 31 incident.

• Francis A. Sheakley, 53, was indicted by a grand jury on two felony counts of third-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance and one felony count of fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, stemming from an Aug. 25 incident.

• Richard W. Sheakley Jr., 35, was indicted by a grand jury on a felony charge of third-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance stemming from an Aug. 25 incident.

• Guillermo R. Campos, 25, was indicted by a grand jury on a charge of third-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, stemming from an Aug. 25 incident.

• Kevin B. Gallagher, 40, was indicted by a grand jury on a felony charge of first-degree burglary and misdemeanor counts of fifth-degree criminal mischief, violating his conditions of release and resisting arrest, stemming from an Aug. 25 incident.

• John S. Cooley, 31, and Heather L. Robitaille, also known as Heather Yeisley, 28, were indicted by a grand jury on three felony counts of second-degree forgery, a felony count of second-degree theft and two misdemeanor counts of attempted second-degree theft, stemming from Aug. 23 incidents.

• Kevin M. Enloe, 28, was indicted by a grand jury on a felony charge of third-degree misconduct involving weapons, stemming from an Aug. 27 incident.

• Joshua R. Welty, 21, was indicted by a grand jury on a felony count of first-degree auto theft and misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated and refusing to submit to a chemical test, stemming from an Aug. 26 incident.

• Robin D. Abbott, 37, was indicted by a grand jury on felony counts of driving while intoxicated and refusing to submit to a chemical test and misdemeanor counts of driving without a valid license and sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, stemming from an Aug. 19 incident.

Judgments:

• Nicholas Haws, 18, was found guilty of underage drinking and driving after underage drinking, stemming from a June 27 incident. Juneau District Judge Peter B. Froehlich imposed a $600 fine, with $400 suspended, for the drinking violation and a $1,000 fine, with $750 suspended, for the driving violation. Froehlich also placed Haws on probation, to end Oct. 1 to further his enlistment in the Coast Guard.

• Jennifer Bentley, 19, was found guilty of underage drinking, stemming from a May 6 incident. Froehlich imposed a $600 fine.

• Kaisa Herschleb, 18, was found guilty of underage possession or consumption of alcohol, stemming from an Aug. 9 incident. Froehlich imposed a $600 fine, with $400 suspended, and placed Herschleb on probation until age 21.

• Frank G. Brown, 40, was found guilty in Hoonah District Court of two counts of cruelty to animals, stemming from an April 22 offense. Magistrate Joyce Skaflestad placed Brown on probation until Aug. 29, 2004 and ordered him to pay animal shelter costs totaling $1,352.90.
