Cook receives award
Richard J. Cook, DDS, received the prestigious Fellowship Award in a convocation ceremony held during the Academy of General Dentistry's annual meeting on July 19 in Nashville, Tenn.
Cook completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive written exam and fulfilled five years of continuous membership with the AGD in order to earn the Fellowship award. The award symbolizes excellence in the dental profession and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
A graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Dentistry in 1972, Cook practices dentistry in Juneau. He is married to Ellen and has four children, Aaron, Marie, Rebecca and Jacob.
Cook is also a member of the American Dental Association, Alaska Dental Society and Juneau Dental Society. He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps from 1972 to 1974.
