Include all relevant information on your resume and cover letter when applying for a job. "When a potential employer is reviewing a resume and cover letter, if there is any relevant information missing, there is a human tendency to infer the worst," says Dan Binstock, managing director for BCG Attorney Search in Washington, D.C. "For example, if you don't explain your reasons for leaving your current job, there's a risk that the potential employer will infer that you are leaving for poor performance."
