Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Sound off on the important issues at

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested 55-year-old Christine McQuitty on a charge of drunken driving at 7:51 p.m. Sunday in the 3300 block of Douglas Highway. They impounded the vehicle she was driving.


• A 10-inch subwoofer was reported stolen from an unlocked 1996 Saturday at 1:03 p.m. Sunday in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area.

• A wallet was reported stolen at 3:30 p.m. Sunday somewhere in the Juneau area.

• At least $10, a pair of headphones and two watches were reported stolen at 3:32 p.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of O'Day Drive near the airport.

• A case containing about 80 compact discs was reported stolen at 7:54 p.m. Sunday from a 1994 Chevrolet pickup.


• A 1966 Ford Mustang was reported scratched by a key at 8:56 Monday in the 6300 block of Glacier Highway. Damage was estimated at $3,000.

Vehicle accidents:

• Police cited a 21-year-old woman on a charge of careless driving after an accident at 1:50 p.m. Sunday on Mendenhall Loop Road near the University of Alaska Southeast campus. She was driving a 1991 Dodge, which sustained an estimated $2,000 in damage. A 1991 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by a 38-year-old man, sustained an estimated $1,500 in damage.

• No one was reported injured in an accident at 11:52 a.m. Monday on outbound Egan Drive at Vanderbilt Hill Road. The accident involved a 1988 Plymouth Voyager, driven by a 49-year-old man, and a 2003 Toyota, driven by a 56-year-old woman. No damage estimates were available.

Traffic stop:

• Police impounded a vehicle at 8:12 a.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Glacier Highway near the downtown area after citing the driver, a 26-year-old woman, on a charge of driving without a license.
