Woman reports attack after offering ride

A 28-year-old woman reported Friday she had been assaulted and her car vandalized by a man she'd given a ride to, according to a press release from the Juneau Police Department.

Following the woman's report and an investigation, JPD arrested Christopher Davidson, 26, for third-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Davidson allegedly struck the woman, who was not named in the release, several times, then broke the rear window and taillights of her vehicle, the release states. He then allegedly brandished a firearm at her before she drove away and called police, the release states.

The woman picked Davidson and two other people up after a car Davidson and the others were in drove into a ditch along Glacier Highway in the Auke Bay area, the release states.

JPD interviewed several witnesses to the incident in the Montana Creek area, and also spoke with Davidson and the alleged victim, the release states.
