A hearty thanks to Juneau for making the 2006 Southeast Alaska Master Gardeners Garden Tour a success. The Tour raised $2,000 for the scholarship fund.
The Southeast Alaska Master Gardeners would like to express their great appreciation to the City and Borough of Juneau for making an exception and allowing the Jensen-Olson Arboretum to be included on the tour. Individual thanks to Judy Sherburne and Pat Harris who tirelessly hosted guests at "Caroline's garden". Special thanks to SAGA for use of their van and to our drivers Jim Swanson and Frank Richards. The Master Gardeners are very grateful to the Catholic Diocese of Juneau and the Shrine of St. Therese and to Master Gardeners Ed Buyarski and Janis Burns-Buyarski for hosting the Shrine Gardens. Additional thanks to Landscape Alaska, KINY radio, KTOO radio, Juneau Empire, Hearthside Books, David Lentz and Judy Covey at the Cooperative Extension Service, and to Tiya Karaus for the poster design.
