Kelsey Sturrock, of Juneau, and Alec Venechuk, of Healy, were married Aug. 8, 2009, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Juneau. A reception followed at the Juneau Yacht Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mike Sturrock and Mary Fiorella. A University of Alaska Anchorage graduate, she is a registered nurse at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
The groom is the son of Tim and Cheryl Venechuk. A University of Alaska Fairbanks graduate, he is a mining exploration engineer for Usibelli Coal Mine.
The maid of honor was Rachael Sturrock, the bride's sister. Bridesmaids were Sarah Lowell, Kelly Gitter, Kim Harris and Helea Hendricks. The groom's sister, Halle Venechuk, was the flower girl.
The best man was Evan Venechuk, the groom's brother. Groomsmen were Michael Sturrock, the bride's brother, Walker Milliken, Weston Howe and Josh Rinck. Jakob and Koen House were the ring bearers.
The couple honeymooned at Hasselborg Lake on Admiralty Island and makes their home in Fairbanks.
