The purpose of the National Dean's List is to recognize outstanding college students for their academic and community achievements in a professional, meaningful and dignified manner. Every year, the National Dean's List contacts honor societies, college deans, professors, leadership organizations, athletic directors, performing arts organizations and other education professionals and invites them to nominate students who have earned dean's list honors or comparable academic and leadership achievement while they are college students.
Stephens was hired on Aug. 1, 2006, as a summer intern with Bartlett & West, and engineering firm in Lee's Summit, Mo. He was hired on Aug. 13 as a senior engineering technician and transferred to the Lawrence office in order to attend the Kansas University.
He has received the Community College transfer scholarship, Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, partial Kansas University scholarship, J. Hill Memorial Engineering Scholarship, Charles U. Heuser Scholarship and the Bert and Dorothy Steves Memorial Scholarship.
