WASILLA - A 61-year-old Wasilla man has been convicted of sexually abusing three young girls.

A Palmer jury Friday convicted Mark Anderson of 10 counts of sexual abuse of a minor.

Prosecutors say the girls, one the daughter of a co-worker and the others the daughters of a friend, were abused over 16 months in 2006 and 2007.

Defense attorney Bill English said the case stemmed from adults asking leading questions of the children.

Assistant District Attorney Rachel Gernat in her closing argument dismissed the contention that sexual contact was incidental from Anderson playing with the girls.

She said grown men do not accidentally touch multiple girls on multiple occasions.

Anderson faces sentencing Dec. 4.
