The Juneau Police Department contacted two boys, one 17- and the other 16-years-old, about vandalism to mailboxes on Duran Street, according to a press release from JPD.
A resident on Duran Street informed police about the vandalism, which was still occurring, at 3:11 a.m. Monday, the release states. At 3:57 a.m. JPD stopped a vehicle matching the description given them by the resident, and made contact with the boys, the release states.
JPD collected evidence and an investigation revealed the two boys were involved in the vandalism, the release states.
The boys were released to the custody of their parents. An investigation continues and charges are pending, the release states.
