Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• A man, 24, was arrested at 6:40 a.m. Saturday in West Juneau for domestic violence assault. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

• A woman reported at 12:30 p.m. Friday from Echo Cove Campground that her 2002 Dodge Neon had been dented, causing $1,000 of damage.

Vehicle accidents:

• At 6:45 p.m. Friday near Riverside Drive a Ford Taurus driven by a boy, 17, hit a 1991 Ford pickup driven by a woman, 43. The Taurus had $1,500 damage, the pickup $100. The boy was warned about careless driving.

Animal encounters:

• Bears were reported Friday at 7 a.m. eating garbage near Lemon Creek, at 8:30 a.m. in a tree near Lemon Creek, at 9 a.m. in garbage near Fritz Cove Road, at 10:30 p.m. in a Dumpster on Fourth Street, and at 11:20 p.m. near Fourth Street.

• A bear was reported Saturday at 2:30 a.m. in trash near North Franklin Street.


• A woman, 45, was arrested at 1:45 p.m. Friday near Hospital Drive on an outstanding Juneau police warrant for failure to appear in court.

• A Klawock man, 18, was arrested at 12:20 a.m. Saturday near Julep Street on two Klawock police warrants for failure to appear in court, and on a Craig police warrant for failure to complete alcohol screening. He was lodged at the state prison. The 18-year-old and a woman, 18, and a man, 20, also were cited for underage drinking.
