I have a child and other family members that entered high school and it disturbs me on what's going on with the students. We did not see it as bad, when we were there, but it was there. We were brought up to believe that what you see on the outside shouldn't matter, but how you respect one another.
Learning starts at home, so what are parents teaching their children? I'm number eight of nine siblings and have many nationalities in our family and have taught our children to respect all. So you should not judge someone until you've walked in their shoes.
I want safety for all students, so they feel comfortable and want to learn.
