Roadless: good for your soul

Letter to the editor

I'm not surprised that once again the Bush administration has ignored the will of the people. I am, though, surprised that he chose to dismantle one of the most popular conservation policies, the Roadless Area Conservation Rule, right before a national election. Doesn't he know that Alaskans vote too? We love our wild forests, for our recreational opportunities, for our salmon-based economies, and for our soul. I plan to vote for wild and healthy forests. I hope you are too.
