JUNEAU - The city of Juneau's electric bill assistance program, also known as Unplugged, will end next week.
The program was set up to help residents, nonprofits and businesses with electric bills after avalanches in April caused a rate hike.
The deadline for submitting applications is Sept. 15, and mailed applications must be postmarked by that date.
Applications are available at City Hall and at the Alaska Electric Light & Power Co. office, located at 5061 Tonsgard Court in Lemon Creek. Applications also can be downloaded at www.juneau.org.
Questions about the program should be directed to Sara Brickey, AEL&P credit counselor, at 463-6308.
